Sony VAIO 11

The Sony Vaio 11 is a wonderful computer that many should be buying. This is not just an ordinary laptop it screen can also flip to convert it into a tablet. The Sony Vaio 11 is one of the most recent systems that Sony has published. This hybrid laptop has a price tag of $755 US dollars.  This is a price that matches well with the computer. The screen pivots around to turn this laptop into a tablet. However this computer also has its cons. The first thing many users dislike about this is its processer it only comes equipped with a intel Pentium processor, rather than the new fourth generation intel i5 and i7 processors. Secondly many other users dislike the battery life it is only capable of lasting 5 hours which many find unpleasing. A third default people found in it is that its keyboard keys are too close together. On the good side of this computer it comes with an excellent 11.6 inch full had touch screen display. With the conversion of a laptop to a tablet and its excellent display it makes it perfect for people are into industrial design. It also has a 128 GB SSD which is latest in technology. As a bonus the Sony Vaio 11 brings Adobe Photoshop elements pre-installed.  The keyboard has a backlit and keys smaller than the ones found in a MacBook air.  It also has an HDMI port, SD card port, and two USB 3.0 ports. Because of the Intel Pentium processor fell behind in some testing especially in photo editing.  The reason why Sony put an Intel Pentium processor was because they wanted to save money for the product so it could sell for a cheaper price. And even to it has a lower power usage the battery life still disappoint many. Cons to not buy this product is some design issues, slow performance, low battery life. And the pros to buy this laptop is its nice price and screen display. It is up to you to decide whether this laptop is for you.

Mac Book Air

The MacBook Air is an ultrathin, ultralight laptop with two screen sizes: 11 inches which weighs 2.4 pounds and 13 inches which weighs 3.0 pounds. The Mac Air is the perfect fit for anyone who is always on the go, and who doesn’t want a regular-size laptop, and who needs a computer that’s more versatile than an iPad. In the machine of the computer you will find that all four MacBook Air models have the same 1.3GHz dual-core Core i5 processor and come with 4GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5000 technology. It has an amazing battery life of 9 hours for the 11-inch versions, and 12 hours for the 13-inchers. The versions differ mainly in storage. The 11-inch model that costs $999 and the 13-inch model that cost $1099 has a 128GB of flash storage, whereas the 11-inch model that cost $1199 and the 13-inch model that costs $1299 has a more generous 256GB. The MacBook Air has Wi-Fi for connecting to a network and Bluetooth for wirelessly connecting a peripheral. Connecting to an Ethernet network requires an Apple USB Ethernet Adapter. Thunderbolt is the Air’s high-speed connector. The laptop also has two USB 3.0 ports, which can work with USB 2.0 devices. To accommodate a FireWire 800 drive, you’ll need a Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter. Besides everyday tasks, you can use the Air for editing short videos or for working with JPEGs from your iPhone or camera. This is a great laptop for someone who does general-purpose work and moves around a lot. You can’t easily upgrade the storage after purchase, so you should buy the model that has the largest amount of storage you can afford.

Mac Book pro

The Mac book pro was made for users who wants a portable computer that doesn’t sacrifice a lot. The Mac book pro is a 13 inch model laptop with a 2.5GHz dual-core i5 processor and has a 4GB memory. It offers a transfer speed of 5400 rpm and also have an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000graphics system. However you can customize your own system with the requirements you want since all of this can be upgrades for faster processor, more memory, a larger hard drive, or even a solid-state drive. The standard MacBook Pro is the only Mac laptop with a built-in SuperDrive this is used for optical discs. The Mac book pro also comes with a built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The mac book pro also continues to offer ports that Apple has taken out of its MacBook Air and Retina MacBook Pro lines. The ports that it also includes is the FireWire 800 port and a gigabit Ethernet port. The Mac pro also has two USB 3.0 ports. The 13-inch standard Mac- Book Pro is slower overall than the 13-inch MacBook Air, the MacBook Pro’s hard drive can’ keep up with the MacBook Air’s flash storage. However, the MacBook Pro has a tremendous performance advantage over the MacBook Air on tasks such as video editing. So if you are wondering to buy a Mac book pro factors to consider is that that the hard drives create a performance of bottleneck, so if you want to get the best performance, consider replacing the hard drive with an extra-cost SSD. Many user consider the Mac book air better than the pro so, if you want a laptop for travel and can’t decide between a standard MacBook Pro and a MacBook Air, go with the MacBook Air unless you really need built-in FireWire.

Alienware's Steam Machine

Alienware is a brand that is very well known for gamming in both pc and desktop. Many users consider it the best producers in gamming computers because of its excellent features and cooling system. Now Alienware will be pushing the boundaries of gamming once again.  Later in the year they plan to release there all new steam machine console. News from Alienware says that they have been working on the console for about four years in collaboration with Crytek and Valve to build their product. The prototype Alienware showed off measured approximately 8 by 8 by 3 inches, which is very comparable in size to the newest-generation gaming consoles, the Microsoft Xbox One and the Sony Playstation 4. The look of the console is very simple and great. The device box is all black with the Alienware logo and the steam logo on it which glow and change color. In the front unit houses two standard USB ports. Around the back, Alienware kept the I/O simple, with just two USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet and HDMI-out below two large vent outputs. More detailed specifications will come later. They claim that they have accurately tested different combinations of hardware in order to meet the expectations of the customers. And proven that NVIDIA’s technology aligns best with the Steam Machine criteria at this time. The consoles steam controller will be different from others it will bring two round track pads on either side, which is similar  to the scroll wheels on early-gen Apple iPods. The track pads are also clickable, and between the two track pads lies a high-resolution touch screen. Players can touch the screen during the game, browse available actions that come up, and then click on the one they want to use. The controller has two buttons on the inside top and bottom of each track pad, a button on the left and right top and two on the back. There are also three buttons at the bottom of the screen. The middle button, which resembles the space bar on a keyboard. According to Valve, the controller is compatible with all the games that are in the Steam library. The console is expected to be released later in the year with a price that will be competent with those of the Xbox One and PS4. So for all the game lovers out there this will surely be a great machine to try out.
